The Western Region Drugs Task Force - Launch Event

There are two new initiatives being launched.

The Community Harm Reduction Initiative is a toolkit that will enable communities, of any size, to take steps in addressing concerns regarding their local drug and alcohol issues. People very often feel daunted when it comes to tackling issues of this type and either don't know where to start or feel that it is too much to take on alone. The Community Harm Reduction Initiative provides a template and process for people to follow and empowers individuals, community groups and local agencies to work together in partnership to reduce alcohol and drug related harm in their community.

The SupportMe.ie website is also being officially launched. This new website is designed a resource for use by individuals and agencies and it contains comprehensive information on the different support services available in counties Roscommon, Mayo and Galway.
