INFORMATION
SEMINARS:
A Regional meeting/workshop of the South West
Region was held on the 13th December in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick.
Martin McCormack a bereavement counsellor in the college gave a
presentation focusing on the ever-growing problem of young people
and suicide.
A presentation was also given by local Garda on the abuse of drugs in modern
society, including a number of indicators on the recognition of a drug
taker. A big attendance was expected but due to it being on in the evening,
the numbers attended didn’t match our expectation. The general comment
afterwards was that the event was highly informative and proved to be very
useful in relation to their work.
